I spend a lot of time shooting and fishing and when a light is required my windproof turbo lighter has never let me down.I have even used it to repair an outboard engine that required electrical connections resoldered.Without it I would have been faced with a long row home.

I have just come back from the Peak District where I was helping with a D of E award gold training expedition. We left the trainees camping overnight and arrived back at at 0900 to check them before sending them off up Kinder Scout. Conditions; driving rain and snowfall overnight. A scene of horror; despondent students unable to light trangias because they had let the strikers of their storm matches get wet...so no hot food or drinks and morale (and physical condition!) going down the tubes fast. The expedition leader\'s little plastic lighter was useless, but of course the Turbo II immediately got things going and the group were soon tucking into a late breakfast. Later we stopped at the Outside shop and she picked up a G7R.
